West Virginia Public Defender Legends CLE Series presents Lonnie Simmons' You shall have the body: Habeas Corpus Tips, Strategies, and Case Law on Friday, January 21st from 1:30-3:00 pm.
This seminar will cover tips on reviewing and summarizing the trial transcript, strategies to employ in putting the petition together and going forward with the case, and a discussion of the relevant case law and legal considerations. To illustrate this process, Lonnie Simmons will discuss one of the longest and oldest habeas corpus cases he ever handled.
