We are happy to announce that PDS is continuing its Defense of Youth Training Program (previously the Juvenile Law Boot Camp)! We are providing training sessions for attorneys on defending children. PDS will be hosting free monthly sessions on one Friday a month starting May 12th, 2023. We will have one live session during the annual conference in June (June 9th, 2023), which will also be available by Zoom. All other sessions will be held online via Zoom.
Our program helps defense attorneys gain a deep understanding about the unique issues present in youth cases and then elevate their representation to the next level. We will offer the expertise of speakers on youth defense and broad topics concerning youth development. The dates that are currently set are listed below, and future dates will be provided as they are confirmed.
The Details:
Who? This training is open only to defense attorneys.
CLE? The program will be eligible for CLE credit. We will announce the total number of credits soon.
How much? FREE! It's completely free to appointed counsel/panel attorneys and public defender corporation lawyers (so long as they qualify under #1)
Where? All sessions are held via Zoom except one live session following the conclusion of the annual conference on June 9th.
When? One Friday per month. The dates for all sessions can be found below.
