Public Defender Service's Abuse and Neglect Task Force will be hosting a training on Friday, January 30th, 2026 via Zoom starting at 11:00 AM and lasting until 12:30 PM. This is a training on Aetna Better Health of WV-Mountain Health Promise. Aetna is the MCO (Managed Care Organization) that covers all youth that are in the custody of the state of WV (foster care). This training will cover the supports and resources that Aetna has to assist the court (Judges, Prosecutors, GALs, Attorneys, and JPOs). This training will cover how Aetna is structured and where we are located statewide and all the different roles Aetna has that work with these youth.
WHO? Attorneys and anyone who works with those with youth in the legal system.
