On June 3rd, Office Manager Lee Carper was announced as the recipient of Public Defender Services' bi-monthly Gideon's Spirit Award, which recognizes individuals for their exceptional work in furthering the agency's agenda of providing high quality representation to indigent criminal defendants in West Virginia. Carper was recognized for helping coordinate the agency's move from its previous location to our new office at the Capitol Complex. Lee helped ensure that the move itself as well as the process of settling into the new location have been as easy and smooth as possible. Carper has been with the agency for over a decade, starting as a Voucher Processor and becoming Office Manager in 2015.
